Who doesn’t like travelling?…because I sure as heck do. Travelling is fun and adventurous and you get to take cool Instagram photos on the beach with coconut chilling on your knees with a broad hat on and leather sandals or bare feet, it really doesn’t matter. A bit dramatic? Perhaps. But that’s my ideal travel/vacation mood. I believe you don’t have to be rich to travel, all you need are “huge dreams and a tiny budget”.
In a previous blog post I wrote, I shared my travel story about visiting Martha’s Vineyard. Martha’s Vineyard, a Massachusetts island, sits in the Atlantic just south of Cape Cod. Can someone say stunning? Ohhhh…the Vineyard is absolutely breathtaking. I went on an evening sail in 2014 called “The Shenandoah” and as the boat slowly pulled away from the shores, you could see the picturesque mountains and luscious plains basking in the sunset. My only regret is that I wish I had taken more pictures
Alright guys…let’s jump right into it!
Top 5 Places I Want To Visit in 2019
1| #1 on my list of places to visit is Perú
Peru is a country in South America that’s home to a section of Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu, an ancient Incan city high in the Andes mountains. The region around Machu Picchu, including the Sacred Valley, Inca Trail and colonial city of Cusco, is rich in archaeological sites.
Perú is also visa-free for Jamaicans travelling on a Jamaican Passport, so yeaaa for me
2| Next on my list of places to visit is Banff
Banff National Park is located in the Canadian province of Alberta along its western border with British Columbia in the Rocky Mountains. The town of Banff is situated 128 kilometres west of Calgary and is about an hour and a half drive. Banff National Park is a gorgeous Canadian gem and there are so many interesting and unique things to see and do there. Oh man…I can’t wait!
3| #3 on my list of places to visit is Kelowna
Kelowna is a city in the south of Canada’s British Columbia province. It’s in the Okanagan Valley, on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, surrounded by provincial parks, pine forest, vineyards, orchards and mountains.I’ve heard that Summer draws families to Okanagan Lake while winter attracts travellers to nearby ski resorts. No matter the season, the city offers a vibrant food and wine scene. FOOD? WINE? Count me in 😊
4| Next up on my list of places to visit is Panama
I’ve heard the rave about Panama. I think it’s a must see for me. Oh…and it’s visa-free for Jamaicans travelling on a Jamaican Passport
